Antibes Sophia-Antipolis, a dynamic French city, has emerged as a leader in smart cities. This forward-thinking city has garnered international recognition, with two Smart50 Awards and a 2023 CIO of the Year title for its Chief Digital Officer (CIO). The city has adopted an ambitious green budget, aligning its financial allocations with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A partnership with industry leaders: Kyndryl, NVidia and SAP, positions Antibes as a frontrunner in pioneering responsible financial practices for a greener tomorrow. The 2024 Finance Act (implementation of the Green Administrative Account) will require identifying, within each budget allocation of municipalities with more than 3,500 inhabitants, the proportion related to each Sustainable Development Goal. For a budget consisting of several thousand lines and a dozen objectives, the workload can quickly become substantial. The City of Antibes has decided to semi-automate this tedious task with the help of artificial intelligence using SAP Joule. The strengths of this project lie in managing end-to-end security, as budgetary data is sensitive. The speed of inference is crucial because it involves comparing over 4,000 lines with 17 SDGs and assigning a percentage to each element of these 68,000 combinations, along with a priority index and the nature of the impact on the environment. In March 2025, the city will present a case study at the SAP-Insiders conference in Las Vegas, showcasing their innovative use of Generative AI (GenAI) for sustainable development policies. With SAP's recent release of the Universal Parallel Accounting (UPA) solution, SAP has finally delivered a true end-to-end solution for parallel accounting within the SAP Finance area. Southwest Gas has been engaged with their SAP BTP CSP since 2023 with a goal of adopting the SAP BTP products that they feel give them the most value. In January 2024, the Southwest Gas team started a journey to build their SAP BTP knowledge and skills. Using the SAP Future Ready Enterprise methodology, Southwest Gas is completing their initial (L1) set of activities as they upskill and gain experience in SAP BTP technologies.   We will describe Southwest Gas' decision to adopt BTP throughout their landscape so they can achieve greater efficiencies and keep their ERP core clean.
